On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Robert Lee Dail (Bob) made his glorious journey to heaven at the age of 90.  He is survived by his son, Brent L. Dail (Judi) and his daughter Susan D. Smith (William).  He was "Paw Paw" to Alicia Sanders, Denyce Smith, Seth Smith, Jennifer Muller, Lisa Newman, Brian Dail and Gary Dail, with 19 great grandchildren.  Bob was the youngest of five children, raised in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Norview High School.  At a young age, he displayed talent in singing and playing the guitar, and performed on the radio for a period of time.  He met and married his beloved wife Virginia in the church choir, and they raised their two children in a very happy home in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

After their children were grown, Bob & Virginia moved to Orlando, Florida where he joined Lockheed-Martin until his retirement.  He and Virginia relocated to Clermont, Florida to enjoy their golden years, and their family eventually joined them there.  Bob became an active member of First Baptist Church of Clermont and later, Embrace Church of Montverde where he served as music leader for several years.  He will be remembered for his faithfulness to the Lord, as well as his kindness, his generosity, love of hymns and gospel music, and his sense of humor which remained steadfast until his final days. His family and loved ones will hold his memory lovingly in their hearts until they are reunited in eternity .

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, 11am, at Embrace Church in Montverde.  The family will receive friends at 10am.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations to Embrace Church of Montverde may be made in memory of Robert.
