Robert Martin Cortez-Satterlee
May 10, 1983 – February 26, 2020

Robert (Robby) Cortez-Satterlee (36) was born May 10, 1983 in Salinas, California. He was the son of Laurie Nielsen Cortez and Rudolph Cortez (Diane). At the age of three, his family moved to Kennewick, Washington, where he attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated from Kennewick High School in 2001. While in High School he sang with the Tri-City Youth Honor Choir and he enjoyed acting and participating in local community theater.

In 2003, he moved to Orlando, Florida to become an Intern with the Walt Disney College Internship Program. Following his Internship Program, he made Orlando his home and worked in Operations and Human Resources for several of the theme parks and private businesses that supported the parks. He made many friends along the way, and thoroughly enjoyed spending fun times with them. The happiest day of his life was when he married Richard Cortez-Satterlee in March, 2019.

Robby is survived by his loving husband, his parents, his mother and father-in-law, his sister, his cousins and numerous aunts and uncles. He was greatly loved by all.

Friends are welcome for visitation from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Becker Funeral Home. A Mass of Celebration will be held at 10 AM Friday, March 6, 2020 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont, FL.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in Robby's name to the Glaucoma Research Foundation.
