Obituary
Robert Joseph "Bobby" Snyder, 45, of Clermont, FL, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on March 28, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY, he lived on Long Island and moved to Southbury, CT during high school and lived there for 24 years before moving to Florida. Bobby was a big sports fan, especially the NY Islanders, NY Mets and NY Giants. He was definitely a proud New Yorker and was not afraid to tell you so and argue about it. Bobby played ice hockey, deck hockey and baseball, and excelled in all. He enjoyed deep sea and freshwater fishing. Reading was also a love.... Stephen King novels were his favorites. Bobby also loved animals and was fond of the family dogs and cats he had growing up and as an adult... Sasha was a Rottweiler he rescued from a sad environment to a happy one that lasted over 13 years. His passion was gardening, landscaping design and spending time with his family. Bobby was a kind, soft spoken soul that was taken way too early from his life and was loved very much. He was a hard working man with a good work ethic. He is survived by his beloved parents, Robert K. & Eileen Snyder (nee Saunders) of Clermont, FL; his three sisters: Laura & Pete Waas and their children, Alex, Bridget and Adam; Christine & Dennis Machado and their two daughters, Erin and Shayla; Kelly Vieira and her two daughters, Kristin , his grandnephew Nikolai and Baylei; and his brother, Ryan & Stephanie Snyder and their son, Noah, along with many cousins, uncles and aunts. A Celebration of Life for Bobby will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 806 W. Minneola Ave., Clermont, FL with the family receiving friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM just prior to his service. The family will host a gathering for friends immediatley following the serivce at Lilly's On The Lake in Clermont.
