Robert Amatucci, 71, of Minneola, FL passed at home under the care of Hospice on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Robert was born on September 22, 1942 in the Bronx, NY, son of Vincent and Anna (nee Caferella) Amatucci. He moved to Clermont from Marlboro, MA in 1998 and was a retired superintendent in the construction industry. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1963-1965, serving aboard the USS Holland AS-32. He was a member of the Lions Club, an antique truck club New England Chapter A.T.H.S., USS Holland AS-32 Association and was a Catholic.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Geri; daughters, Lenee (Dan) Ladas of Palm City, FL and Gina (Brian) Miller of Clermont, FL; sister, Lorraine Morich of Marlboro, MA; grandchildren, Evan Ladas, Ana Ladas, Nicolas Miller, Gabriel Ladas and Kaitlyn Miller and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Vincent Amatucci.



Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Becker Funeral Home. Prayer Services will take place at 7PM. Interment will take place at 1PM Tuesday, January 21st at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, where military honors will be rendered. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in Robert's name to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778 or a Veterans organization of your choice.
