It is with heartfelt love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Stewart Walker, who went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025.  Born on September 23, 1950, in Clermont, Florida, she was the beloved daughter of Amos and Lillian (Gaffney) Stewart.

Rita devoted her life to faith, family, and service. She spent her career as a medical office manager, leading with compassion, grace, and a quiet strength that touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers. Her gentle spirit and unwavering integrity made her a steady presence to all who relied on her.

A woman of deep faith, Rita loved Jesus wholeheartedly and shared that love through her words, actions, and the way she cared for others. Her dedication to her faith was evident in everything she did, and it guided her throughout her life.

Rita is survived by her loving husband, Ron Walker, who was her partner, companion, and dearest friend. She leaves behind three children:

•   Brian Williams, Lakeland, Florida

•   Jessica (Greg) McGraw, Newberry, Florida

•   Melissa (Josh) Atkinson, Clermont, Florida

She was also a proud and devoted  grandmother to her seven grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Rita's life was one of kindness, devotion, and steady love. To know her was to feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged, and her legacy will continue through the family she cherished so deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Tuscanooga Baptist Church in Groveland, Florida. All who knew and loved Rita are warmly invited to attend and honor her memory.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, celebrating with her parents, brothers, and all those who went before her.
