Richard Adam Surmick

November 4, 1952 – August 5, 2021

Richard Adam Surmick, born on November 4, 1952, passed away after a brief stay at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida on August 5, 2021.

Richard was born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania by his parents Adam and Irene (Hudock) Surmick. He was a graduate of St. Gabriel's High School in Hazleton, PA class of 1970 and is a graduate of Penn State University. He was the owner/operator of Liz Rick Travel & Tours and Royal Star Limousine in Hazleton before relocating to Nevada in 2000.

He was an avid fan of Penn State Football. He was a member of the Nittany Lion Club and a football season ticket holder. He enjoyed watching Major League Baseball and was a fan of the Phillies and Cubs. In his spare time Richard enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo and spending time with his granddaughter McKenzie.

Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna (Colicigno) Surmick, Clermont, FL; son Richard Surmick, Las Vegas, NV; daughter Renee Conroy, wife of James Conroy and granddaughter McKenzie Conroy, Clermont, FL; sister Geralyn Ford, wife of Robert Ford, Allentown, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL. A celebration of life ceremony will be held later at the family's convenience.
