Richard Leroy Stevens, Jr., 64, Clermont, FL passed away June 3, 2012 at Orlando Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was born July 9, 1947 in Concord, NH son of Richard Leroy Stevens & Barbara Elizabeth Stoddard Stevens. He served in the US Army and was a retired electric wholesale sales executive & head of security for a number of years at New Hampshire International Speedway. On April 5, 1997 he was united in marriage to Diane Roy in Waterbury, VT and a Port Richey, FL resident from Barre, VT prior to relocating to Clermont in 2009. He was an avid golfer & member of the Golf Hackers at Kings Ridge. His son William Stevens preceded him in death as did his sister Betty Thomas. Surviving is his wife Diane R. Stevens of the residence; son Brian Stevens, Penacook, NH; sister Barbara Peterson & husband Robin, Kennesaw, GA; step-sons John R. Gordon & wife Kelly of Windermere, FL; Jeffrey T. Gordon & James O. Gordon and Rose Christenson both of Barre, VT; step-grandchildren Danielle Healy & Alexis Gordon & great-grandson Chase Healy. Time spent with his family made him most happy, especially with his grandchildren. The love, support and life values he lived by and instilled will continue to live on and be seen in all their future endeavors. His family and friends loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.



The family will have a gathering & reception at the clubhouse at Kings Ridge on June 10th, 2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Further services and inurnment will take place in Barre Vermont at Hope Cemetery in September 2012. The family suggests memorial contribution in his name to Faith Neighborhood Center, P.O.
