Richard B. Neese, 79, Clermont, passed away November 2, 2011. He was born to Marcia and Rolland Neese of Elwood, Indiana on March 30, 1932. He was their beloved son and pride of his family. On May 22, 1955 he married Joyce Sporleder of North Vernon, Indiana. They shared four children: Laurie, Mark, Catharine & Stephen. All the children live nearby except for Laurie who is deceased. Richard was a 1954 graduate of Purdue University where he sang in the Purdue Glee Club and graduated in Aeronautical Engineering. After serving in the military he worked for Naval Avionics in Indianapolis. In 1966 he went to work for Martin Marietta in Orlando from which he has been retired for a number of years. He liked to soar in his glider, followed his beloved Purdue Boilermaker's and read about automobiles. He was a active faithful Presbyterian (particularly choir member) his whole life. He also served Kiwanis for many years. He is survived by his sister Ginny Rickles of Sarasota; Joyce his wife of 56 years; three children Mark Neese, Clermont; Catharine Neese Healy, Ocoee & Stephen Neese, Clermont. His grandchildren are Danielle Hilson, Apopka; Michael Shawn Rushing, Columbus, GA; Travis Kendall, Clermont; Mallie Michelle Neese & Malea Kelly Neese, Clermont; great-grandchildren Virginia, Kelly & Ella Hilson, Alexandria & Zoe Rushing.



The memorial service for Richard Neese will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at South Lake Presbyterian Church, 131 Chestnut Street Clermont, FL 34711. Reverend Shawn Coons, Pastor, will officiate. A reception will follow in the church parlor. The inurnment service for the family will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL prior to the service.
