Richard J. Hollis, 94, of Clermont, FL, passed away on
Monday, September 26, 2016
at Mike Conley Hospice House. Born in Manifold, PA on July 27, 1922 to John & Sarah (Smith) Hollis, Richard moved to the area in 2005, coming from Southgate, MI, where they resided for 55 years. He was a retired development manager for Ford Motor Co with over 30 years of service. He was a former member of the Mason's and Shriner's, along with being a US Air Force Veteran and served in the Hungarian Reformed faith. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James. Survivors include his beloved wife, Vivian, with whom he just celebrated his 70th Wedding Anniversary this past June; his two daughters: Gail & Tony Dean of Minneola,, FL and Carol & James Hulett of Michigan; his five grandchildren: Shannon, Dean, Anthony, Cherie & Richard; and his nine great-grandchildren: Jason, Tucker, Justin, McKenzie, Dylan, Natalie, Riley, Lexi & Houston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's honor to the Shriners Childrens Hospital at shrinershospitalsforchildren.org or to the Mike Conley Hospice House, 2100 Oakley Seaver Blvd., Clermont, FL 34711. A Military Committal Service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 am in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
