Richard Charles Hiss, 83, of Michigan Center, MI and Davenport, FL,  surrounded by his loving family, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.  Richard was born on February 17, 1932 in Medford, WI, the son of Sylvester and Iona Hiss (Widman).  Following school he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  Richard worked for and retired from General Motors. Richard was a member of St. Faustina Catholic Church in Clermont, Florida and Our Lady of Fatima Church in Michigan Center, Michigan.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children, Patty (Ron) Huizenga of Michigan Center, MI, Anita (Dave) Stemen of Parma, MI, Kathy (Jon) Colby of Jerome, MI, Amy (Eric) Kurtycz of Northborough, MA, Andrew (Karen) Hiss of Jackson, MI and Samuel (Cindy) Hiss of Liberty, MI; siblings, Rose Hamel of Lake Bluff, IL, Onie Desautels of Orlando, FL, Sylvia Roehm of St. Louis, MO, Peggy McNeish of Davenport, FL, Patty Hebior of Waukegan, IL, James and John Hiss both of Davenport, FL; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
