Richard Dooley passed away on December 4, 2013 at the Mike Conley Hospice House.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty of 41 years; his brother, Ivan and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard was born on October 21, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland. He and his wife, Patty moved to Florida from Maryland in 1987 and purchased a home in Summit Greens in 2002. While living in Maryland, Richard received his PhD from The Johns Hopkins University. His work as a research scientist allowed him to travel extensively which he enjoyed. Richard was also an instrument rated pilot and loved to fly his airplane. Being born and raised on the Chesapeake Bay, he loved sailing and fishing. He was a fixture at the start up of the Wednesday Night Poker games and shared some good humor with his fellow residents.

Friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 1-4 PM in the chapel of Becker Funeral Home.
