Obituary

Raymond Calvin Haugen died peacefully on Tuesday October 15, 2013 surrounded by family at his residence in Montverde, FL. He was 87 years old.

He was born to Anton and Elizabeth Haugen on April 9, 1926 in Cook Minnesota, where he also grew up and later moved to Virginia, Minnesota.

He joined the United State Navy during WW II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. After being honorably discharged he returned to Virginia, Minnesota and was united in marriage to Elizabeth Stanway and spent many years in the general contracting business. In 1964 he moved his family to Mora Minnesota where he and his family resided until he retired in 1988 when he moved to Brownsville, Texas. He and Beth resided there only for a few years and then moved to Florida.



He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth, son Tom Haugen, Son-in-law Mike Meyer, brothers Melvin and Harvey Haugen, brother-in-law Lloyd Bachman, and sister-in-laws Helen & Millie Haugen.



He is survived by his 4 children, Sherill (Steve) Langager, Rochelle Meyer, Bob (Laurie) Haugen and Sheila (Norm) Johnson. 12 Grand Children, 24 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter., Brothers Earl, Leighton & Lenny Haugen and Sister Donna Bachman and many nieces and nephews.



Honorary Pallbearers will be all his grandchildren



A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Mora, Minnesota. Inurnment will be Tuesday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota.
