R. James Schmitt, 53, of Clermont, FL passed away Friday, November 5, 2010.  Jim was born on April 25, 1957 in Saginaw, MI, the son of Rudolf and Beverly Schmitt.  He was a resident of Clermont for the past 21 years.  Jim worked at Disney World as a manager in labor operations and previously worked as an editor for his father's newspaper, The Township Times, Saginaw Township, MI.  He was a Christian.



Jim is survived by his wife, Shari; daughters, Kristi and Shannon of Clermont; mother, Beverly Schmitt of Clermont and sister, Karen Losee of Lake Orion, MI. Predeceased by his father, Rudolf Schmitt.



A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at 10AM Thursday, November 11th at Becker Funeral Home. Pastor Renaut van der Riet officiating.
