Obituary
Preston Ray Staffon, born 6-6-1927 in Asheville, NC. WWII veteran. He was a meat-cutter for 37 years and retired from Pantry Pride in Miami Florida in 1992. He lived in Asheville, NC until 1957 when he married Emily Dawson Barrett. He had a great sense of humor and loved people. His life was full of adventures and some mis-adventures, as well. He loved his family fiercely and was loved back. Family was everything to him!!
He is survived by his daughter Cindy Schumacher, son-in-law Wayne Schumacher and his grandchildren Chandler Schumacher and Tiffani Schumacher and his nieces Sharon Staffon Chapman, Vicki Staffon Woods, Sonya Staffon Sharpe and nephew Clinton Staffon, Jr. He was a loving father, grandfather and uncle. He will be missed by us all so very much.
Arrangements are:
Graveside Services for Mr. Staffon will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 5, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Military honors will be rendered. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to VITAS Hospice, 2201 Lucien Way #100, Maitland, FL 32751.
