Phyllis Adele Bradford Hirtzel, born on December 24, 1935, passed away peacefully at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont Florida on December 4, 2023.
Phyllis was born in Marion, Indiana, seventh of eight siblings. She met and married Lewis S. Hirtzel Jr. in January 1953. Phyllis was mainly a stay-at-home mother and Navy wife, but also worked for a short time in retail and hospitality. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a Worthy Matron and served as different star points. She was active in Tupperware community. Phyllis was a Navy wife for 23 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Delma Bradford, husband, Lewis S. Hirtzel Jr., and daughter, Alanna M. Robinson and all seven siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Lewis S. Hirtzel III and Fred W. Hirtzel. She has grandchildren: Lewis W. Hirtzel, Robert Hirtzel, Bradford Robinson, Stephanie Hirtzel, Mallyree Hartley, Fred Hirtzel Jr. and has at least 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside inurnment service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
