Obituary

Philippe Bergevin, 48, loving husband and proud father, was born in Ottawa, ON, on November 23rd 1975, and passed away in Clermont, FL, on January 15th 2024.

He graduated as a mechanical engineer from the University of Ottawa in 1998 and completed his MBA in 2005. We admire his 15-year career as a Technical Business Analyst for the National Research Council of Canada. He was a devoted teammate and recognized for his hard work.

Philippe joyfully raised his family in his cherished log home in the hills of Chelsea, QC. He would tell you that his family was his most precious blessing. Family time was everything to him.

He moved to Florida in 2021 along with his beloved family for a new adventure. Philippe was known for his bbq cooking, his love for camping and adventure, and his passion for good food and good times. He loved roller coasters and theme parks as much as quiet time spent watching our backyard lake with a good coffee. Philippe was a fan of nature and wildlife. Back in Canada, he lived in the country surrounded by the peaceful forest and he enjoyed his time spent with his family living in his new home by a serene lake. Music was important to him and he was a naturally talented drummer and guitarist. He was always up for taking walks with his wiener dog, Bonzo, which he gladly named after his favorite drummer.

Besides his wife Noémie, he is survived by his children, Ophélie and Danaé; his father, Claude; sisters Marie-France (Michael) and Anik (Colin); and in-laws, as well as nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Claudette.

Funeral Services will be Monday, January, 22, 2024, 11am, at Real Life Church in Clermont.  The family will receive friends starting at 10am.
