Peter George Volosin, 85, Clermont, passed away September 11, 2011 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. He was born July 2, 1926 in Weirton, WV son of Charles & Mary Fedor Volosin. He served in the US Navy. On November 26, 1955 he was united in marriage to Doris Brown in Long Beach, CA. He was a Research Engineer for both the NASA Apollo Space Program and the Space Shuttle Program, working for several companies during this period including Boeing, North American Aviation and Rockwell International. He was a local resident since 2004 from Buena Park, CA and was of Russian Orthodox faith. Surviving is his wife Doris; children David (Julie) Volosin & Teresa (Jaime) Herrejon all of Orlando & Thomas Volosin, San Diego, CA; grandchildren Taylor & Michael Volosin & Samuel & Sofia Herrejon & siblings Geroge Volosin, Myrtle Beach, SC; Mary Evans, Mingo Junction, OH & Helen Orenzuk & Michael Volosin both of Weirton.



.The funeral service for Peter Volosin will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2011 in the Becker Chapel. Father Cassian Dunlop, St. Andrew Antiocian Orthodox Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with US Navy honors. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday.
