Peter George Bell, age 72 passed away in Mascotte peacefully at home on November 8, 2016 after his lengthy battle with cancer. He was born September 23, 1944 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey son of Harry & Mildred Van Cott Bell. Following graduation Pete chose to serve his country in the US Navy on USS Saratoga until 1966. After his service he moved to Florida to be a major part of his family business, Bell Ceramics Inc. Clermont, Florida, where he was a sculptor, worked in mold making, traveled the country teaching doll painting classes, and published a magazine for Bell Ceramics. Pete was actively involved with the International Foundation of Doll Makers. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and fishing.

On September 19, 1998 he was united in marriage to Valerie Adams Clermont, FL. He was preceded in death by his daughter Leanne Bell, Brunswick, GA and step-daughter Kody Bryan, Clermont , FL; brothers, Richard Bell, Jacob "Jay" Lucas, Jr.; sister Nancy Bell Hettinger & nephew David Bell.  Survivors include his wife Valerie Bell; son Christopher Bell Brunswick, GA; daughter Beth Ann Kelly Groveland, FL; step-daughter Cassidy Bryan, FL; grandsons Jake Thomas, Celeb Thomas, Cameron Thomas, Austin Bell & Avery Bell all from Brunswick ,GA; Sammy Taylor Groveland, FL, Logan Principio Ocklawaha, FL, Surya Vallabhan & Vikram Vallabhan Wildwood, FL; granddaughters; Emma Kelly, Cheyenne Kelly & Breanna Rozar all from Groveland; sister Winifred Carter; niece Jacqueline "Jackie" Carter both of Clermont, FL; niece Sharon Woodard, AZ & nephews Mark Hettinger, FL  & Andrew Hettinger, GA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 November 12, 2016 Waterfront Park Clermont, FL, where Bell Ceramics once stood. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to the Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation, PO Box 443, Minneola, FL  34755-0043.
