Peter Joseph Auer, Jr., 86, of Clermont, FL passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011.  Peter was born on May 29, 1925 in New York City, NY, the son of Peter and Frances Auer.  He was a retired merchandise manager for Sears and Roebuck Co.  Peter served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge.  He was a resident of Florida since 1981 and was a Catholic.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey; sister Grace Harrington of Portland, OR; niece Lisa Blakeley of Portland, OR and nephew William Harrington of Palo Alto, CA.



Graveside Services will be held at 10AM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, military honors being rendered.   The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Mike Conley Hospice House, Clermont.
