Percy Seale entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2021 in Clermont, Florida. Born in Holetown, Barbados, Percy was a devoted servant to the Lord, beloved husband, family member, and friend.
Percy emigrated from Barbados to the United States on December 22, 1968 to support his sister-in-law who had recently lost her husband and to provide his family with expanded opportunities. He served as "Dad" to many in his life within the family and beyond. He aspired to give his best to all who had the pleasure of being in his presence. Dad radiated peace, strength, stability, integrity, and love.
Prior to his retirement in 1995, Percy was a Supervisor at the Transport Board in Barbados and worked for many years at Merrill Lynch in New York afterwards. Upon retirement Dad moved to Clermont where he lived a full and rewarding life. Dad happily served as a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church. He sang in the choir and supported the after service fellowship activities. He also embraced his role as Grandfather and Great-Grandfather as his family continued to grow and expand. Dad's hands were always busy as he lovingly cared for Sheila (Mum) and tended to things around the house. In his leisure time Dad enjoyed sports, of all kinds, keeping up with politics and listening to the BBC.
Percy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sheila, his daughter Margot Lashley (Hal), sons Peter (Veronica), Roger (Linda) and Dale (Asma), and his siblings Ester (Edcil), Muriel, and Monica (Louie deceased). He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is predeceased by his son Keith Straker and siblings Clement, Ena, and Noel.
