After serving his country, he held multiple occupations including a Correctional Officer for Pendleton, IN, a car salesman at Kokomo Auto World and Tipton Ford, and a Truck driver for ISI. He retired as a driver for Wimmer Lime service out of Fairmount, Indiana. In 2018 Paul retired and spent his time volunteering at the Gas City dirt track speedway, the Green Township board of trustees, and the Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting out of the family woods, fishing with friends and family, and playing harmonica alongside many friends at karaoke. Paul enjoyed the last three years of his life, with his loving wife Ruth, as a snowbird in Webster, Fl. His main responsibility in Florida was to ride the golf cart up to go retrieve the mail.
In his passing may he be fishing in heaven with his lifelong friend,  Jerry Hannah.
