Paul was born in Brooklyn, New York to Pasquale DiLeo and Jennie Pisano where he resided for most of his life. Following his service he was appointed to the FDNY in 1958 as a firefighter and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1983. He served a total of 38 years, honored and respected by his peers and the men who served under him. Upon his retirement in 1995 due to colon cancer he moved to California with his wife Marie where he lived for 5 years before moving to Florida to be closer to family. After many illnesses which he overcame his cancer returned after 24 years. He now resides with the Lord, a peace he earned after many years of bringing joy to so many. He was the father of 5.
