Carter, Paul Eugene, 69 of Oakland Florida passed away on September 26. Paul was born in Miami ,Florida on July 20,1943 where he grew up. He was the third son of Lemuel and Lena Carter. In 1966 he joined the U.S. Coast Guard. He moved to Orlando in the early 80' and opened a commercial refrigeration company with Richard Markheim. He moved to Oakland in the early 90'. He retired in 1999 to pursue his interests in antique cars and model trains. He also served as Chairman for Oakland' Planning and Zoning Board. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Carter , mother Lena Carter of Sebring, brother David Carter(Maria) of Miami , George Carter(Ruth) of Albuquerque and many nephews, nieces and other relatives.



The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in the Becker Chapel. Burial will follow in Minneola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, September 28, 2012. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to Orlando Health Foundation.
