Paul Thomas Bigio, 79, of Clermont Florida, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, on July 28, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on February 16, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, he was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Geraldine (Dippolino) Bigio.
Paul proudly served his community as a dedicated postal worker for 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Connecticut before retiring. Known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and warm smile, Paul had a special gift for making people laugh and lighting up every room he entered. His love for cars, gardening, and cooking was only surpassed by his deep devotion to his family.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Philomena (Raccio) Bigio, with whom he shared an extraordinary 61-year marriage. Paul was a cherished father to Colette (Ross) LaRiviere, Anthony (Lisa) Bigio, and Paul Jr. (Christopher) Bigio. He is also survived by his brother Joseph (Susan) Bigio, niece and Goddaughter Paige (Eric) Bargo, his nephew, Christopher (Shannon) Bigio and several other nieces and nephews Paul was a proud Grandfather to his grandchildren Gabriella, Ross Jr., Robert (Jodi), John (Stacy), and Tiffany. Paul was also a proud great-grandfather to Gianna, Aria, Bentley, and Chloe.
Paul found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially spending time with his family and being the ever-reliable chauffeur to his wife. He was the heart of every gathering, and his laughter and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His legacy of love, humor, and kindness lives on in all who were blessed by his life.
