Patricia Downer Olsen, 89, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Clermont, FL.  Pat was born on August 13, 1935 in Bryan, OH, daughter of Myra and Edwin Downer.  She graduated from the University of Toledo in 1957, with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Early Childhood Development.

Pat moved to Florida in 1957, and married Albert "Oley" Olsen in 1959, celebrating 58 years of marriage until his passing in May of 2018.  She taught school in Seminole County until 1972, moving to Clermont and continuing to teach at Minneola Elementary School until retirement in 1989.

Pat was a lady who everyone admired and at winning friends, she never seemed to tire, she was liked by all.  She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Clermont Garden Club, volunteered for Women for Hospice and liked sports, skiing, golfing, liked to travel and be with friends.

Pat is survived by cousins Gary and Sally Breier, of MI, Greg Breier and Rick Breier, of OH, and Jan and Keith Dockus of FL and her loving caregiver, Christina Stewart.

In lieu of flowers Pat requested donations to the Animal League (South Lake), 4648 Baptist Island Rd., Groveland, FL 34736; Women for Hospice, Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
