Obituary
Patricia (Patty) Anne Marcus, age 72, of Clermont FL passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born December 2, 1946 in Hartford, CT to Daniel and Minnie Meaney. She married Lenny Marcus in September, 1968 in Virginia Beach, VA. She worked for the State of Connecticut for over 25 years before retiring in 2002.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, Patty was survived by her daughter, Lisa Vooys and her husband Jeff Vooys of Cromwell, CT, and their children Koty and Hunter Vooys. She was also survived by her sister Dottie Curtiss and husband, Tom of Ellington, CT; her sister Betsy Meaney of Bristol, RI; her brother Dan Meaney, and his wife Helen of Ellington, CT, and their children Madeline, Erin and Daniel; as well as her brother-in-laws Carl Marcus and his wife Bea of Washington Court House, OH, and their children Heath, Dawn, and Lance; and Howie Marcus of Shoreline, WA and his children Sara and Ira. She will also be missed by her faithful companion, Sandy.
Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7th at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL, followed by burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in her name to the American Heart Association.
