Otilia M. Cantu, 80, Clermont, passed away July 11, 2011 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born July 14, 1930 in Waco, TX daughter of Jose Madrigal & Otilia Gomez. A homemaker, she was a central Florida resident since 1970 from Harlingen, TX and was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana De Clermont. She was preceded in death by her husbands Antonio Garcia & Enrique Cantu and by her four siblings. Surviving are her children Josephina Vera, Anderson, SC; Antonio (Sylvestra) Garcia; Porfirio (Judy) Garcia & Ambrocio (Berta) Garcia all of Webster; Seferina Garcia, Maria (Jose) Soto & Raquel (Pasquel) Jaramillo all of Clermont; Guadalupe (Jose) Ruiz, Bushnell & David Madrigal, Lubbock, TX; 29 grandchildren & 47 great-grandchildren.



The funeral service for Otilia Cantu will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Clermont with her son-in-law Pastor Jose Soto, Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana De Clermont officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9. Inurnment will be on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Howey-In-The-Hills. Flowers are welcome, however, should friends desire, the family suggest memorial contributions in her name to LAMP (Latin American Mission Partnership) thru her church.
