Orvella M. Ames

June 6,1948 – July 22,2024

Orvella passed away peacefully in her sleep with family at the bedside. Orvella suffered from dementia during the last part of her life, much removed from social life. Orvella had a long successful career as a Banker Starting her career in Clermont in 1975 at the Exchange Bank. Her career also spanned working with Bank of America as a Vice President, and finally with Peoples State Bank of Groveland where she retired. After retirement Orvella spent much of her time devoted to her grandchildren.

Orvella was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Leonard F. "Bud" Ames. She leaves behind Leonard F. Ames III "Buddy" (son) Jody Ames, Abigail & Michael, family reside in Broken Arrow, OK Angela Ames (daughter) resides in Dunnellon, FL. Jessica Fischer, Dakota, Kolbie, Charlotte, Brooklyn, reside in Wiggins, MS. Andrea Bellin (daughter) Charles Bellin, Alex, Corey Reside in Groveland, Fl. Marion Sjablom (sister) resides in Clermont, FL
