Opal McClanahan of Clermont, Fl passed away Dec 9th 2021 at the age of 97.
Opal was born to Code and Ruth Duncan on Sept 15th 1924 in Bemis, Tennessee
She is preceded in death by husband, Herbert (Mack) McClanahan, her parents, Code and Ruth Duncan, one brother, Clyde Duncan and one sister, Cleo Mysliwiec.
She is survived by her niece, Adair Hardegree (Jim) and nephew Chip Duncan (Kathy). 4 great nephews, Bo Hardegree, Bill Hardegree, Cody Duncan and Casey Duncan. 2 great great nieces and 1 great great nephew.
Opal was a member of The First United Methodist church in Clermont.
She loved playing golf and tennis. Opal was an author of a children's story book and a great seamstress. She took great pride in designing jewelry for her friends and family. Opal was an artist that enjoyed painting barn and ocean scenes.
She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
A Memorial will be the 18th of February at 1:30pm at The First united Methodist church in Clermont with a private burial at the Oakhill Cemetery in Clermont.
