Nicholas J. Bruno, 72, of Clermont, FL passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at home under the care of Hospice. Nicholas was born on October 22, 1939 in Oak Park, IL, the son of Nicholas and Mary Bruno. He was a retired residential real estate agent and had lived in Clermont for the past 9 years, previously living in Orlando. Nicholas was a veteran who served in the U.S Army and member of Real Life Christian Church. He was a member of various bible study groups in Clermont and also served communion for the Methodist Church at Superior Residences.
Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen; children, Michelle (Paul) Walker of Orlando, FL, Julie (Adrian) McPhillips of Windermere, FL, Michael (Rachel) Bruno of New Albany, OH and Anthony Bruno of Chicago, IL; sisters, Maryann Vandervalk of Elgin, IL and Evelyn Zemaitis of Melrose Park, IL and grandchildren, Nicholas, Gabriella, Caroline, Patrick and Sofia.
A Celebration of the life Nicholas lived will be held 10AM on Friday at Real Life Christian Church, 1501 Steve's Rd, Clermont, FL 34711. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at Becker Funeral Home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
