Seaver, Nellie Martha. age 94 of Clermont, FL passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012.  She was born in Clermont on August 27, 1918 to Robert P. and Winnie H. Seaver and was a descendent of the pioneer family of Herring Hooks.  For thirteen years she was employed as an accountant at Sun Chevrolet Company, Clermont before moving to Ft. Lauderdale in the fall of 1951 to serve as Church and Financial Secretary of First Baptist Church.  After twelve years she was called to First Baptist Church, Pompano Beach where she served for twenty years as Pastor's and Church Secretary, returning to Clermont in January 1985.  She was a member of First Baptist Church where she volunteered in several areas and on several committees.  She also volunteered at South Lake Hospital for over fifteen years and was also Past President of the Soroptimist Club of Ft. Lauderdale.

She is survived by sister, Dorothy Lassiter of Gainesville, FL; nieces, Jane (Bill) Williamson, Linda (Bill) Hill, Phyllis Michele, Pat Seaver, Pam Booth, Peggy Nelle (Rick) Hand; nephews, Bob (Debbie) Seaver, Walter (Charlee) Magruder, Allen (Naomi) Magruder, Bill (Barbara) Lassiter, Glenn (Diane) Lassiter, Phillip (Susie) Seaver;; 36 great nieces and nephews and 34 great greats and 1 great great great.  She is also survived by sister in law, JoAnn Seaver of Groveland, FL and nephew in law, Harold Cummings and Janet Hoskinson of Clermont.  She was pre-deceased by brothers; Oakley, Judd and Leonard Seaver, sister, Elizabeth Magruder, nephews; Charlie Seaver and Fulman Magruder, niece, Martha Ann Cummings, great niece, Sarah Lynn Cummings and great nephew, Nathan Lassiter.



Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 22nd at the First Baptist Church, Clermont.  Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont.  Visitation will be held from 1PM until service time at the church.  The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to First Baptist Church or Mike Conley Hospice House.  Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, FL is serving the family.
