Nell M. Minor, 97, Clermont and longtime Ocoee resident passed away January 2, 2011 at Superior Residences of Clermont. She was born September 22, 1913 in Almond, NC daughter of John & Parcie nee White Marr and was a central Florida resident since 1936 from Ashville, NC. She was a homemaker and member of Ocoee Oaks United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Ocoee Women's Club, United Methodist Women, Red Hat Society & Ocoee Lion's Auxillary. Nell lived a full life and traveled extensively. She was preceded in death by her husband John T. "Tiger" Minor & 3 siblings. Surviving is her son John T. Minor, Jr. & his wife Betty Jean; grandson John T. "Tom" Minor, III and his wife Lori and grandchildren Christian, Kirby, Lindsay, Julian, Avery & Ivy all of Clermont & special niece Barbara Ann Monteith & husband John of Atlanta, GA.



The funeral service for Nell Minor will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Becker Chapel. Pastor Ernie Post, Ocoee Oaks United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha. The family graciously request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to her church or to the Mike Conley Hospice House.
