Nelida Torres, 88, of Davenport, FL passed away peacefully under the care of family and hospice, on April 28th. Born in 1936 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, to Isabel Solis & Rufino Santana, she was raised by her uncle and aunt, Amadeo Solis and Onelia Hernandez. At a young age, she relocated to New York, where she met her devoted husband, Daniel, with whom she shared over 60 inseparable years, and three children.

Nelida and her family relocated to Vineland, NJ, where she dedicated 25 years of service to Prudential Life Insurance. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends, including those she met while attending church. Hobbies she pursued were arts & crafts, cake decorating, and gardening, finding joy and fulfillment in each. Upon retiring, Nelida and Daniel settled in Davenport, FL, where they spent her remaining days surrounded by loved ones. Sharing a deep passion for travel, they embarked on 49 cruises together, exploring the world and creating cherished memories side by side. Nelida's warmth, love, and memories will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Isabel Solis and Rufino Santana, her Uncle, Amadeo Solis, her Aunt, Onelia Hernandez, her son Daniel Torres, and her siblings Lydia, Alfredo, Frao, and Radames.

Nelida is survived by her devoted husband Daniel. Children: Vivian and Alvin. Siblings: Elmis and Jorge. Six grandchildren: Jamie, Denise, Alvin Jr, Alexis, Jharla, and Jerica. Four great-grandchildren: Adrian, Jasmine, Niamya, and Nelida (Nella).
