Neal Allen Heard, 73 years of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on March 10, 2026.
Neal was born on September 19th, 1952, to Bill and Betty (Montgomery) Heard in Pontiac, Michigan. Neal lived in Argentina from 1955 to 1964 with his parents, returning to Sylvania, Ohio.
Preceded in death by his father, Bill Heard and Mother Betty (Montgomery) Heard. As well as his sister, Terry (Heard) Rakosik, brother-in-law, Dennis Rakosik and father and mother-in-law, Tay and Dortha (Wentworth) Herman and sister-in-law Grace O’Donnell.
Neal married the love of his life, Marilyn (Herman) Heard on April 18th, 1981, in Toledo, Ohio. Sharing 50 years of wonderful memories together.
Neal is survived by his first wife, Jill (Tobian) Miller, and their daughter Julie (Heard) Kessinger along with grandchildren Emily Kessinger and Esten Kessinger. In addition, his loving wife, Marilyn (Herman) Heard and their two children; Taylor Heard and Samantha (Nick) Palmer with two more grandchildren, Hunter Palmer and Hudson Palmer. As well by his brother, Gregory Dean (Sheri) Heard and brother-in-law Ray O’Donnell.
He will be greatly missed by not only his close family but many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Many of the things Neal enjoyed most in life was spending quality time with his wife and family, going on many vacations together. Along with filling life with many hobbies such as golf, woodworking and cars. He also spent many years traveling the world for multiple jobs, getting the opportunity to see some spectacular places.
In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place, provided by Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, FL. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests any donations be given to a charity of your choice.
