Obituary
Nancy Marion Mattingly Owens, age 73, Winter Garden, passed away March 29, 2017 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont. She was born February 19, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA daughter of Marion Jesse Higgins & Donald Abbott. Nancy graduated from the Byrn Mawr School of Nursing in 1965 and had a long career caring for others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready for a joke. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed nothing better than beating them in a game of backgammon, pinochle or hearts and of course mahjong. A central Florida resident since 2000, she was a member of Chapel Baptist Church & Sunshine Christian Church. Her first husband Richard Mattingly preceded her in death in 2004. Surviving are her husband James "Larry" Owens; daughters Julia (husband James) O' Connell, Forestville, NY & Kathryn (husband John) Kopitsky, Coatesville; PA; grandchildren Michael & Clare O'Connell & Leah Kopitsky & brothers Richard of NJ & Ronald, of GA. She'll be missed.
