Nancy Jane Schano Litz

On Saturday, January 4, 2025, Nancy Jane Schano Litz passed away in Clermont, Fl, at the age of 86. Nancy was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on November 26,1938. After Graduating from Westinghouse High School, she began her career as a secretary. She took a break from working for 14 years to raise her children, she defined motherhood. She decided at the age of 50 she needed to keep up with technology and completed her AA degree in business. She moved from Pittsburgh when she retired from Westinghouse Corporation in 1996.

While in Pittsburgh, she was an active member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. Nancy enjoyed traveling, golf, and doing excellent ceramics. Her true love of her life was watching her grandchildren grow up and flourish. But her baking and cooking were famous no matter where she lived. Her talent surpassed excellent. You never left her home without a tray of fresh baked cookies or her dinners. She always made sure there was an "emergency cake" on hand just in case any unexpected need would arise.

Her thumb was green like no other. She looked forward to bingo on Sunday with her daughter at the Elks. She always had educational input at her book club discussions. Nancy was caring, giving, supportive and the most loving member of our country and will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Nancy survived by daughter, Janeen Scoliere (Joe); sister, Jean Dialoiso; grandchildren, Brielle Scoliere, Karina Scoliere, and Ryan Litz (Lauren); nephews, Nick Dialoiso , Bob Dialoiso (Cheryl); and great nephew, Nicky Dialoiso.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Litz; and her son, Alan Litz.

A Celebration of life is planned for Saturday, January 11th from 12-2pm at The Elks Lodge, 649 12th Street, Clermont, FL 34711.

Nancy will be laid to rest with her loving husband of 61 years at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
