Nancy Anne Dennison (86) of Groveland, Florida passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018. Nancy was born in Urbana, Illinois on August 27, 1931 to Gladys (Shepherd) and Glen Tolson. She spent her childhood in Illinois, and then in Michigan where she graduated from Litchfield High School in 1949. After graduation Nancy returned to Illinois where she met and fell in love with Arthur Eugene Dennison. They were married in 1952.
Nancy loved bowling, gardening, sewing, baking, and camping with her family. She also enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Nancy and Art lived in Coal Valley, Illinois while raising their children, and Nancy worked as a bookkeeper at Par Golf in Moline, Illinois for 8 years. In 1984 Nancy and Art moved to St. Louis, Missouri where they lived until 1992. They returned to Illinois and lived in Milan so Nancy could assist her ailing father. Nancy was widowed on July 30, 2000. She remained in Milan until 2003 then moved back to Missouri to live with her daughter's family. In 2008 she moved with them to Florida where she often said she was grateful to be away from cold winters and all the snow. Nancy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Coal Valley, Illinois.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Survivors include her children Michael (Brooke) Dennison, Illinois, Linda (Bruce) Wall, Florida, James (Susan) Dennison, Arizona, and Glen Dennison, California, her sister Doris Williams, California, and her cousin William (Roena) Wright, Illinois. Nancy was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
