In Loving Memory of Mirian Rodriguez

September 2, 1958 - March 23, 2026

We honor the life of Mirian Rodriguez, a woman whose spirit was unshakable and whose love knew no boundaries.

Born on September 2, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Emma Gonzalez and Luis Cruz, Mirian was the third of five children. From an early age, she possessed a warmth and wonder that would become her signature. Her light drew people in and made them feel like they belonged, no matter how briefly they knew her.

Mirian was, above all, a devoted mother. She settled down in Miami, Florida, where she would give birth to what she lovingly dubbed her "two beautiful daughters." Motherhood was her truest calling. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Melissa and Vanessa Rodriguez. They carry forward her strength, her laughter, and her boundless love. To them, she was more than family, she was home.

She was the kind of soul who moved through life with purpose and passion. She never stood still for long, always seeking, always living, always making the most of her time on this Earth. She was a strong negotiator and was never shy about speaking her thoughts. She had a sharp mind and gifted hands, capable and resourceful in ways that inspired those around her. It was why she was so successful in her line of work in procurement and supply chain management. Mirian loved to explore, to dance, to sing along to the rhythms of the 80s, her voice rising joyfully, especially to her favorite anthem, “I Will Survive.”

And survive she did: through every challenge, every trial, every storm. She faced life with unwavering courage and a faith in God that never faltered. Her life was a living testament to the words of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Even in her hardest moments, her smile shone brightly, a radiant, infectious smile that could light up any room. Her laughter, playful and childlike, reminded us all not to take life too seriously, but to embrace its beauty.

Mirian was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. But more than that, she was a force of love, someone who turned strangers into family and moments into memories. Her warmth, her strength, and her spirit will never be forgotten.

Though she departed from this world on March 23, 2026, in her dream home in Clermont, Florida, her light remains. It is woven into the hearts of those she touched, echoing in every song sung loudly, every dance taken freely, and every act of love given generously. Her strength and radiance will live forever in us.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 27 at 7:00 PM at King of Glory Ministries in Clermont, Florida, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a life so beautifully lived.
