Michael John Scarangella, 84, of Clermont, FL passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at South Lake Hospital.  Michael was born on January 1, 1929 in New York, the son of Peter and Christina Scarangella.  He worked as a printer, before becoming a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, which is where he retired from.  He moved to Central Florida in 1989 and lived in Clermont for the past 15 years.  In his retirement he worked at Walt Disney World.  Michael was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a Catholic.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Odelia "Dee"; daughter, Kathleen Hilton of Clermont; siblings, Joseph Scarangella, Mary Zanfordino and Dominick Scarangella; and 4 grandchildren, Taylor, Cole, Connor and Chance.



Graveside Services will be held at 10AM Monday, January 7, 2013 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.  Visitation will be held from 3 to 6PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to the Florida Cancer Society.
