Obituary

Michael Wesley Farrington, "Mike", "Mikey", "Zeke", 69, of Clermont, FL passed away peacefully with family by his side on, Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
Mike was born in Valparaiso, IN to Rodney Wayne Farrington and Mary Elizabeth Farrington. A few short years after his birth the family moved down to Florida. Mike, his mom, dad and older sister Patsy then became residents of the Orlando, FL area. Then along came his youngest sister Shannon.
Mike was involved in various youth and school organizations.
He attended and graduated from Maynard Evans High School, Class of 69. From there he went on to join the Air Force representing our country during the Vietnam Conflict.
After being honorably discharged from the Air Force he came back home to Orlando, FL.
Some time after his move back home his dad moved to Missouri and Mike took the opportunity for a new adventure in life. In that time he even attended college along side his father at North East Missouri State University, NMSU (Now, Truman State University). While in attendance at NMSU he met and married his wife, Betty. Together they welcomed a son Mathew in 1979. Mike eventually went on to earn two bachelor's degrees. Following his achievements in school his small family found their way back to Orlando, FL once again in 1982. Six short years later in 1988 they welcomed a daughter, Katie and their family was complete BS (Blissfully Surprising).
Some time later when Mathew was off to college and Katie was getting close to being in high school Mike and his wife chose to move to a quieter area in Clermont, FL. This would be where Mike spent the rest of his days impacting lives, teaching the art of cooking and doubly sharing his love of it, capturing memories on film , sharing his opinions proudly, and never being apologetic for who he was.
Mike is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Farrington, Son Mathew "Matt" (Alecia) Farrington, Daughter Kathryn "Katie" (Johnathan) Montgomery, and grandson Jaxon Levi Farrington.
He is also survived by  his sister Patsy ( Ed) Cooley, sister Shannon (Jerry) Klavans, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and various other rotten scoundrels in love, blood, friendship, and otherwise.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Michael Farrington's name to the American Diabetes Association or to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Mike is surely to be missed by us all and we welcome you to share your continued thoughts, prayers, and remembrance of things past in the online guest book.
