Obituary

Michael Thomas Cogley, age 74, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at South Lake Hospital surrounded by his family. Michael was born December 7, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to Franklin and Florence Cogley. Michael was a member of the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He later became a police officer in Kissimmee, then a firefighter at Reedy Creek Improvement District, where he retired after 25 years. Michael was raised to the degree of Master Mason on October 4, 1972 at Groveland Lodge #190 and has been active in Masonic Service for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Cogley, his son Jeffrey Davis, his daughters; Kathy, Crystal and Karen, his 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He is greatly loved and missed and will forever be in our hearts as we are in his. In lieu of flowers there is a GoFundMe account set up for donations to help with the cost of Michael's memorial service as well as a basket on site for cards and donations. Everyone is welcome to join us at the Cogley residence at 4 pm where we will be celebrating Michael Cogley's life. Covered dishes are welcome, BYOB and please bring a chair.
