Michael "Mike" Bowers, age 71, of Orlando, passed away peacefully at his home in Clermont on September 29, 2019. Mike was born on December 22, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio and his family relocated to Central Florida in 1964 where he graduated from Boone High School and drafting school. He moved to Clermont in 1986 to be closer to the citrus industry where he was well known and respected. Mike was a lifelong entrepreneur and became the owner and president of Fresh Mark Corporation, turning the company from a one room operation into a successful fruit wax manufacturing business with a three-acre factory in Mascotte. In addition to being a loving husband and devoted father, Mike was kind hearted to everyone he met and had a keen mind and sharp dry wit. He enjoyed cars, boating, folk music, working with kids, and traveling the State of Florida with his family and friends where he knew every small town, citrus grove and interstate exit.

Survivors: his wife of 49 years, Becky; son, David; and sisters Barbara Kelly and Diana Triplett.
