IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Forrest
Adams
July 16, 1941 – January 2, 2021
Michael Forrest Adams
July 16, 1941 - January 2, 2021
"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff comfort me...surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" - Psalm 23
Early Saturday morning, January 2, 2021, the spirit of Mike Adams was called to Heaven after several months of illness. Recently, while he was so sick, he made the comment: "I know where I'm going and I am looking forward to it".
Mike was born July 16, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia to Walter Harris and Martha McCloskey Adams. They soon moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and then in 1955, the family relocated to Lexington, Kentucky, where he spent most of his life. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky and is a veteran of the United States Army.
Mike married Regina Wheeler in 1965 and they were the parents of two children, Michael Jr. and Kristin. Their home was always open to friends and family. He loved his family.
Mike was friendly and outgoing. He opened the Pet Gallery and Regency Pet Center in Lexington, Kentucky and remained in the pet industry for many years, as a pet store owner and then as a sales representative for pet suppliers. In 2003 he was transferred to Florida. He loved Florida and enjoyed playing golf and riding his bicycle on the trails surrounding Clermont, until his decline in health no longer permitted these activities. He was a great dad to Kristin and Mike, a caring husband of 55 years to Jeanie, and a very special Pops to his four grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Jeanie, Mike is survived by the following:
Son - Michael Adams, Jr., his wife Jeanine and their children Francis, Hillarie and Heidie
Daughter - Kristin Musselman, her husband Zachary and their son Noah
Brother - John Adams and his wife Linda
Numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews
Mike loved life. He will be greatly missed but we take comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 6 with visitation at 2:00pm and funeral at 3:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Clermont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Baptist Church of Clermont Building Fund, the American Heart Association or the Salvation Army.
There will be a memorial service scheduled in the spring in Lexington, Kentucky with his final resting place in the Lexington Cemetery.
