On May 2, 2026, Mary “Frankie” Register, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Clermont, FL. Frankie was born on June 21, 1945, in Unadilla, GA, to Ollie Thompson, a farmer, and Mary Louise Britt, a homemaker. She was the sixth of nine children born to Ollie and Louise.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Marlin Register of Clermont, FL.

Frankie is survived by her son, Marlin Register II of Ruskin, FL; her sister Cornelia Fetherman of Bayville, NJ; her brother-in-law Reverend Harold Hanks of Mt. Dora, FL; her sister-in-law Judy Hanks of Mt. Dora, FL; her brother-in-law Mel Peters of Barnegat, NJ; and her longtime friend Benny Moores of Lubec, ME.

Frankie was a 55-year resident of Clermont, during which she served as a homemaker and later as the Condominium Manager for Vacation Village Resort. She was known for her friendly nature, warm smile, and unwavering dedication to friends and family. Coming from humble roots, she had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Saturday, May 9th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., immediately followed by a service, both to be held at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, also in Clermont.
