Obituary

Mary Lou Reed, 70, passed away on February 15, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was born to Martha and Dale Neumann in Bucyrus, OH on December 22, 1943. She moved to LaPorte, Indiana as a toddler and graduated LaPorte High School in 1962 and married Richard Reed. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.









She spent many years as co-owner of the family business. They moved to Florida and continues with the business until they retired. She had life-long hobbies of sewing and knitting and enjoyed gardening. She never tired of talking about her three grandchildren.







She is survived by her husband Richard, son Dean Reed and his wife Laura and their daughter Julia, and daughter Marty Kovacs and her husband David and their children Madeline and Meg. She is also survived by her older brother Dave Neuman and his wife Joanne and her younger brother Phil Neumann and his wife Dianne. She has numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends.







There will be a gathering of friends and family on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10AM at Liberty Baptist Church, 11043 True Life Way, Clermont, FL. The Memorial Service for Mrs. Reed will be at 11AM with former Senator Dick Langley officiating. She has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Childrens Leukemia Research Association, 585 Stewart Avenue Suite 18, Garden City, NY 11530.
