Mary Cannata, 91, Clermont, FL & former Davie/Hollywood resident passed away February 23, 2012. She was born January 4, 1921 in Vittoria, Sicily (Italy), daughter of Barbaro Migliorisi & Rosa LaRosa. Upon arriving in this country from Italy, in 1938, she lived in Syracuse, New York until 1964.   She was a homemaker and member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her loving husband Joseph Cannata, of 64 years, preceded her in death in 2002, as did her grandson Angelo Cannata in 1997, one sister and three brothers. Surviving are her children Grace (Rosario) Sulsenti, Clermont; Rosemarie (Salvatore) Sulsenti, Davie; Barbara (Ed) Huey, Palm Coast; Angelo (Candace) Cannata, Blairsville, GA & Mary Jane (Ray) McKeand, Orlando; grandchildren Jerry (Rose) Sulsenti; Jeannie (Jeff) Stokes; Sally (Tony) Abbondanzio; Chris (Denise) Sulsenti; Roger Galvin; Ryan Galvin; Joey (Amy) McKeand; Karen (Scott) Bulriss; 17 great-grandchildren & sister Angela (Tony) Sampogna, Manlius, NY, & many nieces & nephews.



Mass of the Resurrection for Mary Cannata will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, FL celebrated by Father Cromwell Cabrisos.  A second Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, Davie, FL, with interment on March 3rd, in Hollywood Memorial Gardens, Hollywood, FL.
