Marvin Eugene Drake, 71, of Clermont, FL was called to his heavenly hone on August 28, 2020 after a tough fight with lung cancer.  Marvin was born on March 9, 1949 in Cortland, NY to Fredrick and Mary Douglas Drake.  He was a graduate of Cortland High School  and attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.  Right out of college he returned to Cortland and worked for Ben Ardito Distributing for many years.  He also worked for Lance Corporation and retired from Merita Bread after many years of service.

He is survived by his three sons, Michael John of Homer, NY, David Jessie of Clermont, FL and Russell "Rusty" Frederick (Moriah Watkins) of Lakeland, FL.  His two grandsons Krillin and Sage and their grandmother LuAnn Drake of Homer, NY; brothers, Milton (Carla) Drake from NV, Melvin Drake from Cortland, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is also survived by his ex-wife and caregiver Wendy Drake Wagner of the home.

Marvin has requested that his remains be put to rest next to his mom and dad in Cortland Rural Cemetery.  There will be a celebration of his life in Cortland, NY at a later date.
