Martha J. Serrano

Sept 11, 1926 – August 24, 2021

Martha, age 94, passed away Tuesday, August 24 surrounded by the family she loved and who loved her. She was born in Havana, Cuba where she studied education and became a teacher, a profession she loved. In 1961, Martha and her family immigrated to the USA after the Castro Revolution took control of Cuba.

Martha was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. Martha's loving nature will be missed by family and friends.

Martha was predeceased by her husband, Efraim, and her son, Efraim Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Elena Heredia, and son-in-law, Arnold, grandchildren, Javier, Andres, Ana Maria, and Eduardo and their spouses, and her great-grandchildren Dominic, Sofia, Gabriella, Natalia, Violet, Luke, Penelope, and Elias and nieces and nephews.

Internment is Sept 10, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Miami, Florida. A memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont on Oct 3, 2021, at the noon mass.
