Mark Joseph Waite Sr., 60, of Clermont, passed away at his home on January 6, 2020.

Mark was born on September 18 to Dorothy and Donald Frank Waite in Miami, FL. Mark grew up in Miami and was an avid Cane fan to the end. The family moved to Groveland, FL, and opened the All-American Boys Sports Camp in Mark's freshman year. He graduated from Groveland High School in 1977 and went on to be a Citrus & Peanut Inspector, until he settled on the profession of Fire Sprinkler Fitter.

I n 1980, he met Melanie Marshall, and they wed in 1987, going on to have 2 children, Mark Jr. and Jennie. Mark was a proud and loving father, and his family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Mark was predeceased by his father, Frank, and his sister, Karen. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his older brother, Donnie; his older sister, Vicki; his twin brother, Bart; and his wife and children.

There will be a funeral service held at 11AM on Saturday, January 11 at Becker Funeral Home, located at 806 West Minneola Ave.
