IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Joseph
Robbins
December 25, 1966 – May 6, 2023
Mark Joseph Robbins was born on December 25th, 1966 to proud parents, Marjorie Gene Johnson Robbins and Dr. Clarence R. Robbins. Along with his older sister, Laurie, the family made their home in Piscataway, New Jersey for many years. From an early age, Mark was a natural athlete and preferred being outdoors to being "cooped up" inside.
In 1985, he graduated from Piscataway High School and started his own lawn maintenance business, MJR Mowing and Lawn Care. On November 7,1992, he married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly A. Molnar and they settled in Flemington, NJ, where he began working for Roto-Rooter Plumbing. He was employed there for many years, yet at the same, enjoyed time with family, friends, weekend getaways, watching football, and his "kids" (pet akitas) Brandi and Teddy.
He relocated to Central Florida in 2008 after his divorce, where he developed an interest and talent for investment trading, which he successfully continued for the rest of his life.
His move to Florida also allowed him time to spend with his retired parents before their deaths, and with his sister, Laurie, and his nephew, Griffin. As the opportunity to make new friend arose, he met Anisha Bryant, who remained a dear friend and companion until his death on Saturday, May 12th.
Mark was preceded in death by his father [2013], mother [2017], and uncle[ 2014]. He is survived by his only sister, Laurie, his Aunt Becky and Aunt Helen, his Uncle Ken, and his nephew, Griffin.
Throughout most of his life, Mark struggled to overcome his demons, mental illness and alcohol addiction. They took from him his ability to truly love and forgive himself and put him at odds with people who tried to help him help himself.
Mark's intelligence, sensitivity, sense of humor and wit gave him strength during the hardest of times. His courage to stand up for the underdog and always fight for what he believed in was what gave him a sense of purpose, compassion, and understanding. His struggles ended Friday, May 6th where he died peacefully at home.
